How BTMS-50 are Produced?

Cetyl Alcohol is derived from the palm oil. Then, a chemical reaction causes the fatty acid such as palmitic acid to be released. The palmitic acid is separated by distilling the mixture and convert it into cetyl alcohol.

Meanwhile, behentrimonium methosulfate is produced by extracting and hydrogenation of the erucid acid and rapeseed oil.
