Usage Rates

Processing Temperature

The most common process error that causes instability in Olivem 1000 systems is the manufacturer cooling the system below 40°C before the emulsification is completed, during which time the liquid crystal network is not properly formed. The proper method is to heat both the oil and the aqueous phases to 70-75 °C, mix them at 70-75 °C, and maintain the mixture above 40 °C until emulsification is complete.
